Go marlins!

Not major league, Atlanta little league. Kate and I went to watch cousin Coleman play baseball. He did SO GOOD! They tied 12-12 but Coleman was the best little guy out there.

Kate saw her shadow for the first time today and she kept looking back at the sun. I "think" she got it. See the doggy? My shadow puppet dogs always look mean. I need to work on my form.

We are back from the beach and had a blast. I'll post more later on that.

Who's that in a highchair?

Well, our little baby is growing up. We got our 1st convertible carseat delivered yesterday. It's been a rough work week for both of us, so we went out for dinner. That means there wasn't an infant car seat for katelyn to hang out in.

Katelyn was a big girl and sat in her first high chair. She did great! We forgot the germ cover in the car, but decided to wing it. Moms- ya'll need to fill me in on the tricks to keep them occupied. All she wanted to do was pull on the tablecloth and plastic placemat or bang her toys on the table. We strategically gave her puffs but that didn't last long.

The Birds- Part II

I snapped a quick pic of our house so I could tell you our crazy bird story. For 2 weeks straight a bird was flying into our windows. We would hear a "thunk" from almost every window in the house. I mean, we're talking like every 5 minutes. I need to grab another closer up pic showing the marks left on the windows (hundreds of marks on a pane). We have one window that actually got a ding in the glass from the bird's force when he would hit the windows.See anything strange in our windows? Scott had a great idea that putting Kate's toys in the window might scare the bird off, you know...kinda like a scarecrow.

Elmo and friends did the trick. The bird seems to have vacated the Allen property. It was always the same bird, so we think it was diseased. I hope the bird is now in bird heaven (luckily the windows never did him/her in).

1st Masters

Katelyn got a great hand me down outfit from cousin maggie. Here's a pic of Katelyn enjoying her first masters. I had tennis Sunday, but daddy and kate watched the masters. I bet she loved watching all that green on the screen.

BOB

Yes, my bosses boss is bob. This isn't a post about him. It's about the BOB. If you are a mom, you've heard about it. It's THE jogging stroller. I bought one yesterday. It should arrive next week. I found a crazy deal on last year's model. (The price went up by $50 for the 2011 model.) People buy up used BOB strollers like crazy on Craigslist.

I'm very excited. Here's our newest family member, BOB:



Kate will be so stylin' in her new ride. It'll be perfect for the park and strolls around the hood. I had wanted a navy one, but now I'm loving this color combo.

Very exciting. Even more exciting is the deal I got. If anyone is in the market for a BOB, let me know and I'll fill you in on the deal.

Nanny Search

We've been interviewing nannies for hte last 2 weeks. We finally narrowed it down to 2 from 38. 4 came over this weekend and there were 2 we were most comfortable with. All references and background checks came back good.

We're having them both nanny once this week to get a feel for how they handle a whole day and how they look after the house too.

Wish us luck. I do have lots of updates, so hopefully I'll get some more posts out this week.
