Doozie

What a great first week of school. I learned so much. I love my teachers miss tammie and miss Andrea so much. They don't mind that I follow them around and give great hugs.

Mommy and daddy made a great choice.

Our power was out all day but just came back on. Yeah a/c!!

First week of school

Kate has been doing good at school. She loves her main teachers and is getting used to her class and classmates. She is the youngest in her class by 1 month, but is holding her own.

The school has cameras and the parents can check in and see what their kids are up to no matter where they are: classroom, cafeteria, hallways, chapel room. Let's just say I'm a little addicted to watching. I check everytime I'm back at my desk. This is a snapshot of what Kate's room looks like. She's the one in green in the middle.


She's already bonding with her teachers. Her main issue is that having too much adult one on one time until now is making her want too much of the teachers attention. She follows them around a lot. At least she doesn't cry all the time.

We had a bad storm last night and we have been without power since 6p last night. I got so excited coming to work...where there is power...and air conditioning...and a place to charge my dead phones. There are tons of trees down in or neighborhood. No tornados, but must have been some really strong wind.

Everyone have a safe holiday weekend. We'll be out and about but the highlight will be visiting Papa Ger and Mama Lin. Katelyn won't stop talking about it.

Oh, and I GOT MY FIRST TOOTH. I cut my first tooth yesterday. Very exciting. It'll be hard for mommy to snap a pic, but trust me, it's there.

Wow, look at how little bean is! I found this in my draft folder, only I can't tell how old she is :(. Maybe 2 or 3 months. I miss those days... A little.

Last Day with Grammy and Gramps

This is a tough day for Grammy and Gramps. Today is Katelyn's last day with them for childcare. I know Gramps is getting very emotional about it (gramps is just an emotional guy, that's one of his great qualities). Katelyn starts school next Monday, 5/23. She has a doctors appointment and school orientation on Thursday, so Katelyn won't go to g & g's. She will miss seeing them on a regular basis, but at least g & g can check her out of school whenever they'd like.

It warms my heart to see how excited Katelyn gets around grammy and gramps. She does her excited dance so hard and fast, I think she'll jump out of my arms. She learned so much from her 1st nannies- g & g. I know it's tough to let her go, mom and dad. Just wait until you see how much she thrives at school. And hopefully g & g daycare will still be open for business if Kate is running a fever.

Creepy Crawler

Katelyn is officially crawling. It's not pretty, more of an Army crawl, but she's scooting around like crazy. I'm grateful she waited until after the beach. She started inching a little last week, but this weekend she really started getting around.

Now, she could do a lap of the house. It's time to install some baby gates :)
